Biden: “We need to work together, we need to stick together”

US Vice President Biden in his second appearance at the annual Munich Security Conference said that “we need to work together, we need to stick together,” in order to face the economic and security challenges.
“We need to work together, we need to stick together” stressed Biden in his February 2 speech. The Vice President praised the trans-Atlantic ties and Europe’s substantial role in global affairs. “President Obama and I continue to believe that Europe is the cornerstone of our engagement with the rest of the world and is the catalyst for our global cooperation. Just imagine what we can do as we get our respective houses in order,” he said.
Vice President Joe Biden said that US government will support the creation of a transatlantic free trade zone. A comprehensive transatlantic trade and investment agreement between the US and Europe will promote and boost transatlantic relations, will also bolster economies on both sides, and create new jobs and strengthen global trading system. "We should pursue a trans-Atlantic partnership, and if we go down that road we should try to do it on one tank of gas and avoid a protracted rounds of negotiations," Biden said. "It would be good for growth and job creation, it would be good on both sides of the Atlantic ... The rewards of success are almost boundless" said the Vice President. In order to reach this transatlantic agreement we must resolve first our longstanding difference said Biden.
